Vancouver Attractions

Vancouver is a coastal city and also a major seaport in Canada. It is located in the lower mainland and part of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. It is also recognized as one of the world’s livable cities. When you go to Vancouver in Canada, there are lots of must-see attractions every visitor should never miss. Some of these attractions include Grouse Mountain, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Vancouver Maritime Museum, and the Vancouver Aquarium.

Grouse Mountain

Grouse Mountain is situated only 15 minutes away from downtown Vancouver. It features Refuge for Endangered Wildlife, lumberjack competitions, scenic hiking trails, falconry demonstrations, helicopter tours and a stunning restaurant venue located at the Peak Chalet overlooking the city. It is also known for Vancouver’s only zipline circuit, the Air Grouse Mountain Zipline.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden is the only Ming Dynasty-style Chinese garden built outside of China in 400 years. Free guided tours are available to visitors with also a cup of complimentary Chinese tea. The Garden is always filled with life making it the perfect place to visit year-round. The Garden is a 15-20 minute walk from downtown Vancouver and the entrance is located in the lance of Carral St.

Capilano Suspension Bridge

Capilano Suspension Bridge is known as on of Vancouver’s most iconic and thrilling sites as the bridge is suspended 230 feet above and 450 feet across the Capilano River. There are also other attractions there such as the Treetops Adventure and the seven suspension bridges which some reaching as high as 100 feet.

Vancouver Aquarium

The Vancouver Aquarium is located in Stanley Park is within a walking distance from downtown Vancouver. It is home to more than 70,000 interesting creatures from the Arctic to the Amazon. There are different exhibits including an interactive exhibit.
